Construction Scotland strengthens Industry Leadership Group with Balfour Beatty appointment

Construction Scotland, the leadership organisation for the construction industry in Scotland, has expanded its Industry Leadership Group (ILG) by appointing highly experienced Balfour Beatty Scotland and Ireland Managing Director, Hector MacAulay.

Over the course of his three-decade career in construction, Hector has gained a wealth of experience across the civil engineering and construction sectors and has worked on a wide variety of construction projects around the UK and Ireland. Under his leadership, Balfour Beatty are currently undertaking the redevelopment of Glasgow Queen Street Station, the flagship Edinburgh Futures Institute on behalf of the University of Edinburgh and dualling the A9 north of Perth. Hector is also a member of Balfour Beatty’s Executive Leadership Team for the UK Construction Services arm of Balfour Beatty plc, the international infrastructure group.

Hector MacAulay said:

Construction Scotland’s ILG is formally recognised by the Scottish Government and its agencies as the representative voice of the industry in Scotland. It brings together key figures from the private and public sector to drive sector growth and industry wide collaboration. Construction Scotland’s ambition is to support the development and growth of a more sustainable, productive, innovative and profitable construction industry.
